The 3 Golden Rules to Maximize Your Email Marketing Efforts

I made this video because I want to share with you guys a milestone that I’ve achieved in my online business, particularly email marketing. With the system that I formulated, I managed to make $2,000 a week on Clickbank. For graduates of Email Profit Marketing, this won’t be a surprise because we use the same system and I’m sure making their own thousand bucks a week. For those of you watching this video, especially affiliate marketers out there, I am taking this opportunity to share my three golden rules to keep my mailing in a check and maximize my email marketing efforts.

Now, let’s put everything aside and proceed to my main business, imparting the three essential rules that allow me to maximize my efforts and increase my earning potential. My first golden rule when it comes to building and managing my mailing list to get sales is to make sure you know your list. How do I do that? I make use of the article bribe or the free ebook that I will be giving away in exchange for opting into my list. You have to keep in mind that it is a crucial element in building a quality mailing list. 

Let’s say you are going to build a mailing list within a big niche like the weight loss industry. You have to understand what sub-niche or category under the main niche your subscribers will value more. Yes, you already know that it will be something about losing weight, but what if your freebie is about a more focused subject like “building six-pack abs” or better. If you can pinpoint exactly what your audience wants or what they desire that will be easier for you to convince them to make a purchase. That’s because you are promoting the products that directly appeals to the desires of your subscribers, motivating them or urging them to buy.

For me to come with the exact sub-niche that your list will appeal to is by segmentation, breaking down the main niche into subcategories, and doing several tests. Once you hit that sweet spot, that will allow you to add value to your list, feeding them the content that they want to see. This builds up trust between you and your subscribers, making it easier for you to trigger or motivate your list to make purchases and even get recurring buyers, making it even better.

My next golden rule in email marketing is to find quality products that you will promote to your list, winning products that will keep their desires burning. To give you a better picture of this, let me show you how I do it, by sharing my screen. Let’s go to the Clickbank marketplace and randomly pick a niche. Let’s go with spirituality. What I do is to sort the product list according to gravity. Gravity in Clickbank products manifests how many affiliates are making money over the past twelve weeks. This means that if a product’s gravity is shown as 5, that means 5 affiliates made money by promoting that product. For me, my criteria for picking a quality product is to go for the ones with gravity between 20 to 100. This is because when the gravity of a product is over a hundred, that means it is already saturated, lowering the chance or potential to maximize the sales. So, keep in mind that the key is to go for products with gravity between 20 to 100, to maximize your potential and get as many sales as you can. 

My next criteria for selecting a product and consider it as a quality or winning one is to check if the product seller provides affiliate tools. These tools may include banners, infographics, and other mediums that you can use to promote the product. If the product seller doesn’t have any kind of affiliate tool provided, don’t bother considering to promote that product. Why? Because a seller that doesn’t provide affiliate tools means, the vendor is not serious enough to sell the product. Vendors that provide affiliate tools would mean that they are very serious about selling their products, they are eager to convert sales that they took an extra mile to create mediums for their affiliates to use. They invest a lot of time and money to hire designers and other contractors just to have the essential tools that will help their products to convert sales. 

To get a better understanding of this, let me open up my screen and show you an example of a private affiliate contest. Here’s a private affiliate program called, The Learning Insider by a good friend named Anik Singal, and it has a contest that I joined. As you can see, in this particular private affiliate contest, I managed to finish at 2nd place, and if you notice the list of winners includes some of the big names like Les Brown, Ty Cohen, etc. 

Private affiliate contests are competitions where the goal is to sell as many products as you can and an affiliate who has the most sales wins. If you are promoting a product to a list that allows you to win a contest like Anik’s contest I showed you earlier, that means that your list has good quality subscribers. A lot of the subscribers on your list bought the product or made a purchase that led you to win a contest. That’s how I make sure my mailing list is of good quality. 

Let me show you another contest where I managed to be victorious and come on top. This is one is a contest that I joined quite long ago and the affiliate program was called Life Mastery Connection. As you can see, I was able to generate 29 sales from my mailing list that earned over USD 700. What I do to check the quality of my list to look for upcoming private affiliate contests that are suitable or relevant to my list and I join the contest. I promote the product to my list and see how it ends. If I manage to be in the top ten, that means that I have a quality list. 

The Lurn Insider contest, the first one I showed you a while ago, after finishing 2nd place it paid me USD 5,000 as my prize. Again, on that contest, I earned a good amount of many and I confirmed that I have a quality list. Let me show you other contests that I paid me for finishing in the top ten and you’ll see that I made a lot.
